Are you talking about client-side databinding or server-side?
Client-side databinding won't be released as part of ASP.NET AJAX (formerly "Atlas"), but it lives on in the Futures CTP.
You're running a very old version, at least as far back as July. Since then there has been Beta 1, Beta 2, and the RC. I would recommend going tohttp://ajax.asp.net and getting the RC and the December Futures CTP, or wait until RTM.
I can't be more specific about the RTM date. It will be sometime before the end of the month.
RC stands for "Release Candidate." That's the current version, and the idea is that it's very close to what will actually ship. CTP stands for "Community Technology Preview," and it basically means any early version of the software that we share with the community to get feedback.
